It is with great pleasure that the Partners of Weinlander Fitzhugh announce that Kelly Schagel, CPA has accepted our invitation to join the Firm as a Partner, effective October 1, 2026.

Kelly’s journey with Weinlander Fitzhugh began as an intern in 2011. Following her graduation from Saginaw Valley State University, she joined the Firm full-time in 2012 and has since demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our clients, our team members, and the continued success of our organization.

Over the years, Kelly has advanced through the Firm by combining technical excellence, leadership, strategic vision, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. In roles including Senior Manager and West Branch Office Manager, she has played an instrumental role in mentoring staff, strengthening client relationships, improving operations, and fostering collaboration across our offices.

Kelly is highly respected by both clients and colleagues for her professionalism, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to support those around her. She has championed operational improvements, led technology and training initiatives, and contributed significantly to the growth and success of our Tax and Client Accounting Services practice. Her strong connections within the communities she serves further reflect her dedication to building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional service.
